ISLAMIC, Anatolia & al-Jazira (Post-Mongol). Anatolian Principalities. Circa AH 750-800 = circa AD 1350-1400. Fals (Bronze, 19 mm, 1.74 g), uncertain mint. Bird standing left with head turned to right; before, palm frond; above, uncertain object and seven-pointed star; all within circle with small pellets in outer margin. Rev. Small inner circle with unidentified letter (?) within, surrounded by highly stylized legend in second circle. Apparently unique and of great interest. Some deposits and with cleaning scratches, otherwise, very fine.
